I am having trouble falling asleep on my wedge pillow / I am sliding off in the middle of the night.

Stay with it. If you have not used a wedge pillow in the past, your body needs some time to adjust. As your body is used to sleeping on a flat surface, it craves what it knows and may reposition as you sleep. After a few nights, most people will adjust to sleeping on a raised wedge pillow.
